Once Kelly finished work for the day we traveled from Harrisonburg, VA to Ohiopyle State Park, PA on the way to visit Stratis & Regina in Pittsburgh, PA. We couldn’t resist stopping at Cooter’s of The Dukes of Hazard fame. Cooter and his band still play here every Saturday. Kelly very wisely purchased a battery operated button for our dashboard that plays the General Lee’s Dixie song whenever we see something that strikes us as excessively redneck.
I like the button idea!
That button has been more fun than I’d have imagined. Two days ago we were pulling off of a dirt road when a pickup with two young gentlemen with crimson necks came up the road with LARGE branches sticking out both the front and back end of the truck (yes, all the way over the cab and out over the hood) pulled in front of us. The look on our faces must have been pretty good because the driver leaned out of the window and yelled ‘Cam-ou-flage’. Cue the button!
